Jon, I am not seeing you in the membership listing for the International Graphic Arts Education Association. www.IGAEA.org Our most recent newsletter is on the home page, and our new website is up and running. We currently have 340+ paid members, mostly teachers in the graphic communications areas, and/or our sustaining members from industry.

Each year for the past 84 years, our organization holds an annual conference on a college or university campus. New members have an option of applying for the Paul Von-Holtz Incentive Award to receive full, or impart Conference Registration costs. I have given the link to the current application for our 2010 85th Annual Conference at Illinois State University.

It would be hard for each state to match the national contest because of equipment availability and time. A lot of state contests are only one day long and during this time students have orientation, compete, debriefing and the contest must be score for a awards ceremony the same night.See More
