DETAILED DESCRIPTION:              

RIT’s School of Print Media (SPM) has an opening for a tenure track, assistant professor in printing process control.  Candidates must have a MS (Ph.D. preferred) in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.  The job will require teaching lecture and laboratory courses, supervision of graduate student thesis research, conducting his/her own scholarly research and service to the School and university.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:         

 

  • Candidates must have a MS in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Candidates must have a track record of publication
  • Teaching experience is required. 

 

PREFERRED:      

 

  • Ph.D. in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience in printing, packaging, or publishing industries
  • Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.

RIT's School of Print Media (SPM) prepares people to hold diverse positions within the world's large graphic communications industry. Students and faculty are at the forefront of a new media revolution, where digital technologies merge printing and publishing, art and design, and photography.  The faculty in the School of Print Media includes writers, consultants, scientists, researchers and product developers with strong ties to leading corporations, professional associations, community organizations, and other areas of industry.

 

SPM degree programs include the BS in New Media Publishing and an MS in Print Media. A printing minor is also available to undergraduate students outside the School of Print Media.
